A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced RN with MedSurg and Telemetry skills in High Point, NC, supporting a well-established Level 1 Trauma academic medical center. This contract position offers a vibrant working environment in a 24-bed unit that values strong teamwork, patient-centered care, and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care for a diverse adult population with diagnoses including diabetes, gastrointestinal, respiratory, renal issues, wound and dressing management, chest tubes, and tracheostomies.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, managing patient ratios of approximately 5-6:1 for RNs.
• Perform clinical tasks including PIV starts, chest tube care, drain and tube management, PCA pump management (Fentanyl, Ketamine, Dilaudid), and gtts management such as Amiodarone and Heparin.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including CNAs, charge nurses, rapid response teams, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and intensivists.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Registered Nurse with 2+ years of progressive experience in MedSurg and telemetry settings.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (required for resource team participation).
• Strong clinical judgment with solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function well under moderate to high-stress conditions.
• Familiarity with EMR systems (Epic), Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell medication dispensing.
• Prior experience with telemetry patient care and related medical equipment.
