Healthcare professionals seeking a dynamic medical-surgical nursing contract will thrive in this high-acuity environment. This MS unit features 25 beds and operates with comprehensive support, including dedicated unit secretaries and techs. Enjoy working with advanced technologies such as Sara Steady, Wound Vac, remote telemetry, and Meditech for documentation.
Schedule/Hours:
- Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday)
- Flexible weekday scheduling
Qualifications:
- Current RN licensure with solid medical-surgical experience
- Strong patient assessment skills required
- Proficient in using IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing systems
- BLS certification required; NIH and CPI certifications preferred
- Capable of IV and Foley catheter placements
- Comfortable with virtual health and remote telemetry equipment
- Commitment to BSSR and hourly rounding for enhanced patient engagement
- Adherence to required dress code: black or royal blue scrubs
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience with similar MS units and flexible floating practices
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population with a 5-6:1 (days) or 6:1 (nights) patient ratio
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including PCTs and unit secretaries
- Accurately execute and document care, including IV and Foley catheter procedures
- Participate in a supportive floating policy as needed across other MS units
