Job Description

A Travel Registered Nurse position is available in Harbor Springs, MI, to provide skilled nursing care on a 28-bed Medical Surgical Unit. This fast-paced unit accepts a diverse patient population, including those recovering from general and vascular surgery, bariatric and plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke. The focus is on patient-centered care, safety, and delivering quality outcomes through collaborative interdisciplinary teamwork.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans based on comprehensive assessments.
  • Utilizing clinical expertise and evidence-based practices to provide holistic care.
  • Maintaining effective communication across healthcare teams using tools like SBAR.
  • Demonstrating leadership by serving as a clinical resource and professional role model.
  • Managing time efficiently to maintain productivity and support team performance.
  • Participating actively in shared governance to foster a positive work environment.
  • Engaging in ongoing professional development through certifications and education.

Important Attendance Policy: A strict 3-strike attendance policy is enforced to ensure patient safety and care continuity. Absence or tardiness exceeding 20 minutes on three occasions may result in immediate termination, subject to review for certain health-related exceptions. This policy begins 6/1/2024.
