An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in medical-surgical or telemetry care, particularly during night shifts. This contract position requires dedication to patient safety and adherence to high clinical standards within a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities include monitoring and providing comprehensive care to patients with complex medical needs in a long-term acute care setting. The role demands flexibility, including on-call duties and potential floating within the nurses scope of practice to meet staffing needs. Shifts are scheduled as 12-hour nights, with a typical ratio of one nurse to six patients. Adherence to attendance policies and professional testing on arrhythmia and medication knowledge will be required.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Current RN license with 1+ years of experience in medical-surgical or telemetry nursing (2+ years preferred)
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH
- Ability to pass arrhythmia and medication competency tests on the first day
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and be on call as per scheduling needs
- Willingness to float to other units within skillset as needed
- Pending licenses will be considered if finalized prior to contract start
Location: Position is based in Greenville, South Carolina, a vibrant city known for its welcoming community, rich cultural attractions, and beautiful parks. Greenville offers a blend of urban amenities and outdoor recreation, making it an excellent place to live and work.
Additional Details:
- 3 shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Contract role with guaranteed hours based on signed agreement
- Local candidates are not accepted; applicants willing to relocate or travel within a 75-mile radius are preferred
- Compliance with onsite safety protocols, including fit testing, is mandatory
