This travel nursing role invites you to step into a dynamic, teaching-focused hospital environment. Working within a facility renowned for its Level 1 Trauma designation, Chest Pain Center, and Stroke Center, youll be exposed to progressive workplace practices, exemplary leadership styles, and highly collaborative interdisciplinary teams. Your commitment will be rewarded with new clinical experiences and the opportunity to build your resume through diverse casework, from acute and chronic disease management to post-surgical, cardiac, and trauma care.
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts: 7A-7P or 7P-7A
- Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- No call requirements
- Holiday coverage: One shift for each major holiday within your contract
Qualifications:
- Active RN license, BLS required; ACLS preferred (must pass EKG competency during onboarding)
- Minimum 2 years experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry
- 6 months of EPIC EMR experience required
- Proficiency in trach care, chest tube management, IV/PIV skills, and telemetry skills (including cardiac rhythm interpretation and post-cath care)
- Experience with titrating drips (insulin, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone, etc.)
- Strong time management, patient education, and interdisciplinary care coordination skills
Responsibilities:
- Direct patient care for a variety of diagnoses: diabetes, cardiac, post-surgical, and trauma
- Ratio: RN 1:4-6, collaborating with CNAs and LPNs
- Floating to all Med/Tele units and ED holds as needed
- Participate in discharge planning, patient education, and care coordination
