Schedule/Hours
- 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)
- Weekend rotation: 5-6 shifts out of every 12 over a 6-week schedule
- No on-call requirements
- Required to work one shift of each major holiday
Role Overview In this Med-Surg/Tele role, youll manage a wide range of cases, from orthopedic and trauma injuries to complex medical diagnoses and post-operative care. Experience a fast-paced, team-oriented setting with 24/7 access to hospitalists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists. Youll collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, contribute to patient educationespecially related to renal and fluid managementand participate actively in patient discharge planning.
What You'll Do
- Assess, monitor, and care for patients with fractures, trauma, co-morbidities, and post-surgical needs
- IV insertion, central line management, wound care, cardiac monitoring, and telemetry interpretation
- Administer insulins and heparin drips, titrate drips as required
- Coordinate care, engage in interdisciplinary rounds, and facilitate safe discharges
- Floating to other adult med-surg/tele units as needed
Qualifications
- Active RN license, BLS required
- 2+ years recent MedSurg/Tele RN experience
- BCR required (EKG competency exam on hire)
- ACLS and additional national certifications (preferred)
- Proficiency with EPIC, Alaris pumps, Pyxis, Phillips monitors
- Strong clinical assessment, coordination, and communication skills
