This role allows you to broaden your clinical skills in a renowned Level 1 Trauma Center, working alongside seasoned leaders and a cohesive, high-performing team.
Take advantage of the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations, from orthopedic and trauma cases to complex med-surg and telemetry patients. Gain invaluable experience with cutting-edge technology such as EPIC EMR, Phillips monitors, PCA management, and advanced cardiac monitoring. Contribute to a collaborative unit culture focused on learning, mutual support, and patient-centered care.
Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour shifts (7A7P or 7P7A)
- Every 6 weeks: 5-6 weekend shifts out of 12
- No on-call required
- Holiday rotation required (1 shift per major holiday)
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience
- BLS and Basic Cardiac Rhythm proficiency; must pass EKG competency exam
- ACLS and national Med-Surg/Nephrology certifications preferred
- Demonstrated skill in trach care, chest tube management, IV insertion, wound care, and telemetry
- Solid clinical assessment and collaboration skills
- Comfortable with floating to all adult med-surg/telemetry units
Responsibilities:
- Manage patient care for adult med-surg/tele units, including ortho and trauma cases
- Interpret and act on telemetry data, coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team
- Provide patient education on discharge, renal, and fluid management
- Participate in rapid turnover admission/discharge protocols
- Support and supervise CNA staff, contribute to a positive team environment
