Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour shifts (7A-7P or 7P-7A)
• Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekends per 6-week cycle
• Holidays: one shift per major holiday

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years' Med/Tele experience
• BLS required; must pass an EKG competency exam
• BCR (Basic Cardiac Rhythm) required; ACLS and national certification preferred
• Strong proficiency in clinical assessment, trach care, chest tube management, cardiac monitoring, wound care, IV/central line skills, and post-op monitoring
• Experience coordinating interdisciplinary care and patient education

Responsibilities:

• Manage 4-6 patients per shift in a fast-paced Level 1 Trauma setting
• Care for patients with orthopedic injuries, head trauma, chronic illnesses, post-op conditions, and complex co-morbidities
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary teamincluding CNAs, resource nurses, 24/7 RT and hospitalist teams
• Utilize advanced technology: EPIC EMR, Alaris pumps, Pyxis, and Philips monitors
• Engage in wound, renal, and fluid management, accurate charting, and discharge planning
• Float as needed to other adult MedSurg/Tele units
