Step into a 35-bed MedSurg/Tele unit at a prominent, high-acuity teaching hospital. Youll collaborate alongside clinicians in a Level 1 Trauma Center and Chest Pain/Stroke Center, expanding your expertise while managing a diverse range of orthopedic, trauma, post-operative, and chronic disease patientsan excellent way to broaden your skill set for future leadership roles. The exposure to innovative care protocols, interdisciplinary teamwork, and advanced technology like Epic EMR and Phillips monitors is invaluable for your career trajectory.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour shifts: 7A-7P or 7P-7A
  • Weekend rotation: 5-6 shifts per 12 worked in a 6-week cycle
  • Holiday shifts required (one per major holiday block)
  • No on-call required

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active RN license, minimum 2 years Med/Tele RN experience
  • BLS required; Basic Cardiac Rhythm (EKG competency) required
  • ACLS and national certification in Medical-Surgical or Nephrology preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment skills for a trauma facility
  • Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, wound care, IV insertion, and care coordination

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct care for a 4-6:1 patient ratio, collaborating with CNAs and support staff
  • Management of trachs, chest tubes, central lines, and post-op protocols
  • Accurate telemetry monitoring and patient educationespecially renal/fluid management
  • Discharge planning and care coordination with interdisciplinary teams
