Step into a dynamic, teaching hospital environment caring for diverse adult patient populations in a high-acuity Med Surg/Telemetry setting. This contract role calls for skilled Registered Nurses to deliver exceptional care across a range of inpatient medical-surgical and telemetry units, with floating required as needed across all Med/Tele units.

Schedule/Hours:

• 12-hour shifts: 7A-7P or 7P-7A
• Weekend rotation: 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Major holiday coverage required (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years)
• No on-call shifts

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med Surg/Telemetry RN experience
• BLS required; ACLS preferred (must pass EKG competency upon onboarding)
• Open to first-time travelers
• Strong Med Surg/Tele clinical skills: Trach care, chest tubes, PIV initiation, IV maintenance, glucommander, assessment, care coordination, and discharge planning
• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation (required)
• Experience with drips: insulin, heparin, Cardizem, amiodarone, milrinone, Digoxin, nicardipine

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide safe, thorough care for a range of acute and chronically ill adult patients, including post-cardiac cath, CHF, a-fib, diabetes, hypertension, and recent surgeries
• Manage patient ratios typically ranging from 1:4-6
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes CNAs, discharge/resource nurses, 24/7 RT and hospitalist support, and centralized telemetry monitoring
• Float to all Med/Tele units within the facility as required
• Accurately chart in EPIC and operate equipment such as Alaris pumps, Philips monitors, and Pyxis med dispensing systems

$1,579 - $1,728/Week Estimated weekly earnings represent hourly wages, based on 36 hours per week, and expense reimbursement for eligible candidates. The actual amount may vary based on hours worked, eligibility for reimbursements, and seasonal adjustments.
