Schedule/Hours
- Night shifts: 7PM - 7AM
- Full-time commitment
- Every other weekend required
- On-call only if flexed off
- No blocked scheduling
- No floating required
Role Responsibilities
- Independently deliver both routine and complex care for patients in a med-surg setting, maintaining a patient ratio around 6:1
- Apply the nursing process, including patient assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Tackle culturally relevant psychological and social needs for patients and families
- Administer medications and treatments, carefully monitoring side effects and therapeutic impact
- Accurately document patient histories, symptoms, and interventions
- Provide clear patient/family education tailored to assessed learning needs
- Assign and delegate responsibilities to support staff to manage clinical workflow
Minimum Qualifications
- Active RN license (state of employment or compact)
- BLS certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
- At least 1 year of med-surg nursing experience strongly preferred
