Scheduling:
- Shifts: 7a-7p or 7p-7a
- Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
- No on-call required
- Holiday coverage: Expect to work 75% of holidays
- Schedule cycle: Every 6 weeks
Qualifications:
- Active RN license
- Minimum two years of recent Med/Tele RN experience (Resource Team)
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Proficient in stroke care, cardiac rhythm interpretation, trach care, PIV starts, chest tube management, NGT placement, drain/tube management, and PCA pumps
- Cardiac gtt management, blood product administration, and IV fluid regulation
- Familiar with Epic EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Omnicell systems
- Comfortable with floating within designated regions and units
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for adults and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as COPD, CHF, trauma, pneumonia, and more
- Manage patient loads typical to medical-surgical/telemetry nursing (ratios vary by unit and acuity)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, resource nurses, RT, hospitalists, and intensivists
- Independently monitor and interpret telemetry
- Participate in unit- and region-based floating as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic
