Job Description
Provide direct and indirect patient care within the Post Surgical unit as a Registered Nurse specializing in Medical Surgical care. Assess patients from admission through their stay, involving patients and caregivers in care planning and updates. Administer IV medications, IV therapy, and blood products according to clinical policies and standards while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments upon admission and continuously throughout the stay
- Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and caregivers
- Administer IV medications, IV fluids, and blood components following protocol
- Apply and monitor restraints and seclusion while maintaining safety and compliance
- Document all nursing interventions and patient responses accurately
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current RN license in good standing (candidates with licensure flags will not be considered)
- Minimum of 1 year nursing experience preferred in Medical Surgical or Post Surgical settings
- BLS certification required
- Competency in restraint and seclusion application and care is mandatory
- Must not be a previous employee of the medical center
- Residency required outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Clear background checks with no actions on license

Additional Details:
- Contract position with up to 16 hours of unpaid orientation
- Facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during a 13-week contract period
- Travelers with actions on license or background hits will not be considered
