Job Description
A MedSurg RN with a focus on renal care is needed for a contract assignment in Florence, SC. This role supports a busy hospital setting, providing acute care to medical-surgical patients with renal-related needs. The schedule consists of three 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.) with an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers free parking for all staff.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active South Carolina or Compact license before assignment start
- Minimum of 1 year of MedSurg nursing experience; renal care experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply
- Able to float within scope to other MedSurg units as needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with renal and other medical-surgical conditions
- Accurately document patient information using Epic electronic health records
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain compliance with facility policies and state regulations
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
