Job Description

Deliver exceptional nursing care as an RN on a Medical-Surgical unit in a reputable hospital setting. This contract role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in a dynamic environment with a focus on patient-centered care. Work day shifts, 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, with a guaranteed 36 or 48-hour workweek, tailored to your preference.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care using the nursing processassessment, planning, implementation, and evaluationfor medical patients.
  • Monitor and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and comfort.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional standards of care consistent with nursing practice guidelines and facility policies.
  • Operate medical equipment like bladder scanners, vein finders, and wound vac devices.
  • Adapt to patient acuity and float as needed to similar or lower acuity units.
  • Comply with infection control and safety standards, including flu vaccination requirements from November to April.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current RN license eligible or issued in Missouri.
  • Minimum 1 year of inpatient Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
  • BLS certification by the American Heart Association required; ACLS preferred.
  • Comfortable managing patient ratios around 1:5 or 1:6.
  • Proficient with EPIC electronic medical records system.
