Deliver exceptional patient care as an RN on a dynamic Medical-Surgical team. As an integral member of the inpatient Med/Surg unit, youll assess, plan, and implement nursing care for a diverse patient population, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams. This contract assignment offers flexible guaranteed hourschoose from either 36 or 48 hours per week to suit your needswith a 13-week commitment and a blend of day and night scheduling, including every other weekend. Orientation occurs on day shift and flexibility during this period is required.

Schedule/Hours:

• Shifts: Days, 1700-0930
• Guaranteed weekly hours: 36 or 48 (must be specified on submission)
• Every other weekend required
• No call requirement

Qualifications:

• Current RN license eligible in Missouri
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS from AHA preferred
• Minimum one year of recent inpatient Med/Surg nursing experience
• Team player with a compassionate, patient-focused mindset
• Willingness to float to other units based on operational needs
• Flu vaccination (or Mercy-approved exemption) is required for assignments from November 1April 1

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care, including assessment and evaluation, in compliance with nursing standards and Missouri Nurse Practice Act
• Monitor patient status and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
• Supervise and evaluate care delivered by direct care staff
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient rights
• Adapt to physical demandsincluding frequent standing, walking, bending, and assisting with patient mobility
