Qualifications & Experience Required:
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Minimum one year of recent Med-Surg experience
- Familiarity with current nursing best practices and hospital protocols
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and unit demands
- Demonstrated strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (current and valid)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to diverse adult patient populations on the Med-Surg floor
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and report any significant changes
- Collaborate with physicians, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams to implement effective care plans
- Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and perform wound care per medical orders
- Accurately document patient information and nursing interventions in electronic health records
- Support patient education and discharge planning to ensure optimal recovery and continuity of care
- Uphold safety, infection control, and quality standards in every aspect of patient care
