Expand your practice by floating between campuses and adapting to various unit cultures, gaining invaluable insight into different approaches and broadening your clinical resume.

Schedule & Assignment Details

  • 13-week travel assignment, start dates: 6/1 or 6/15
  • 36 guaranteed hours weekly (option for 48s available upon request)
  • 12-hour day shifts (6:30am-7pm)
  • Weekend/Holiday: Three weekends every six weeks, every other holiday
  • Floating: Within skillset, between nearby campuses (with 2-hour notice for cross-campus)
  • No on-call or call-back
  • Bi-weekly orientation

Qualifications

  • Active compact RN license, AHA BLS, and NIHSS certification (must be submitted with application)
  • Minimum 2 years recent strong Tele/Med-Surg, prior travel experience, Level II trauma center background
  • Charge experience preferred; must pass Tele/12-lead EKG tests; Charting system: EPIC proficiency
  • Strong neuro assessment, critical thinking, and cardiac/abdominal post-op care
  • Required to initiate/titrate insulin, cardiac, and Heparin drips, and heart cath recovery
  • Preferred: experience with NG/PEG tubes, PIV insertion, Tikosyn, chest tubes

Responsibilities

  • Manage a dynamic patient population (post-cardiac interventions, CVA/TIA, oncology, abdominal surgeries, cranial post-ops)
  • Provide expert, compassionate care and thorough assessments
  • Engage in unit-based teaching as needed
  • Aid with floating assignments, adapting to new units efficiently
