This 13-week travel assignment offers a vibrant professional experience in a high-acuity Cardiac Renal Unit, immersing you in diverse nursing practices, strong leadership, and collaboration with a unit noted for its excellent team retention and supportive management.

Expand your clinical knowledge as you work closely with seasoned teams and encounter a wide spectrum of cardiovascular, renal, and medical-surgical patients. You'll be at the core of a dynamic environment, developing critical care skills and gaining exposure to unique teaching hospital protocolsvital assets for your nursing career. Downtime invites you to adventure along the scenic Ohio River, indulge in Evansvilles cultural scene, and explore neighboring states.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 12-hour day shifts (6:30 am7:00 pm)
  • 36 guaranteed hours per week (option for 48 hours by request)
  • Every other holiday and three weekends during each six-week period
  • Must be open to floating to nearby campuses with notice

Qualifications:

  • Current, active compact RN license
  • AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (must be submitted with application)
  • At least 2 years of recent strong Cardiac/Telemetry experience
  • Minimum one completed travel RN assignment
  • Experience in a Level II Trauma setting and with high acuity M/S Tele (cardiac-focused) patients
  • Proficiency in EPIC charting and 12-lead EKG interpretation (tele test required)
  • Advanced assessment, critical thinking, and IV/drip management skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive cardiac/renal and M/S care to high-acuity patient populations
  • Initiate/titrate cardiac medications and drips (antiarrhythmics, heparin, etc.)
  • Manage chest tubes, nephrostomy tubes, and other lines/drains
  • Mentor students and new hires in a teaching hospital setting
  • Adapt to campus floating as required
