Schedule/Hours:

  • 13-week assignment, starting 5/18
  • 36 hours guaranteed weekly (option for 48 upon request)
  • Night shifts: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 PM 7:00 AM
  • Rotating weekends: Three out of every six-week schedule
  • Holiday coverage: Every other holiday

Key Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted compact Registered Nurse license required
  • AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications attached at submission
  • Minimum 2 years recent Cardiac/Telemetry experience, including trauma level II exposure
  • Previous travel assignment completed
  • Proficiency with EPIC documentation and readiness for charting checkoff
  • Strong clinical skills in cardiac monitoring (tele/12-lead EKG), drip initiation/titration, and management of high-acuity Med/Surg & Tele patients
  • Excellent assessment ability, adaptability, and team collaboration
  • Resilient, strong work ethic, and open to change

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert nursing to high-acuity cardiac and renal medical-surgical patients (Afib, CHF, COPD, post-ablation, dialysis, etc.)
  • Float within the main and sister campuses as needed, with advance notice
  • Participate in teaching and possible preceptorship roles for students/new hires
  • Maintain accurate charting and collaborate with a longstanding, experienced team
  • Uphold high-quality patient care standards and adapt to evolving unit needs
