This travel nursing role offers a unique chance to work in a high-acuity Cardiac Renal MS/Tele unit, ensuring exposure to leading-edge practices and seasoned leadership approaches. The hospital is known for its stable and cohesive staff, led by a long-standing manager dedicated to collaborative care and professional growth. As part of a teaching hospital, you'll also be immersed in mentorship opportunities and gain experience precepting students and new hiresstrengthening your skills and expanding your resume with rich, varied clinical encounters.
Schedule/Hours:
- 13-week contract position
- 12-hour nights (6:30 PM7:00 AM)
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week (option for 48 per request)
- Three weekends per six-week schedule; every other holiday
- Primary location with potential float to nearby campuses (with advance notice)
Desired Qualifications:
- Active, unencumbered compact RN license
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years recent Cardiac/Tele experience
- At least one travel assignment and Level II trauma background
- Recent EPIC charting experience (EPIC checkoff required)
- Remarkable critical thinking, assessment, and adaptability skills
- Tele/12-lead EKG interpretation; strong respiratory/cardiac drip management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver expert care to high-acuity Tele/M/S, primarily cardiac-focused patients
- Interpret and respond to complex EKG rhythms and titrate antiarrhythmic/anticoagulant drips
- Manage interventions such as PIV insertion and nephrostomy tubes
- Support the clinical learning environment as preceptor when required
