Professionally, this role provides an excellent opportunity for registered nurses to sharpen their medical-surgical and telemetry skills in a neurological and stroke-focused unit. Working alongside experienced leaders and a diverse clinical team, youll broaden your knowledge of advanced patient care practices and hone your adaptability by floating to similar units as needed. Schedule/Hours
- Day Shift, 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to similar units as needed
- Holidays required as necessary
- Orientation: 24-32 hours
Desired Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in Stroke/Neuro nursing (3 years preferred)
- Valid RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Must successfully pass an EKG test and present all credentials at time of submission
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care in a med-surg/telemetry unit with strong neuro/stroke focus
- Accurately monitor, document, and respond to patient status and changes
- Float to other like-units as required to meet facility needs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
