Schedule/Hours
- Day shift: 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday shifts as needed
- Orientation: 24-32 hours
Qualifications
- 2 years of recent Stroke/Neuro experience required
- 3 years of Stroke/Neuro nursing experience preferred
- Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required (all due prior to start)
- Passing EKG test (required at submission)
- Flexibility to float to similar units as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care on a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit, specializing in stroke and neuro patient populations
- Collaborate efficiently with multidisciplinary teams to create patient-centered care plans
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status, including neurological and cardiac function
- Participate in continuous improvement and uphold the highest standards of patient safety
