Schedule
- Day shift: 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Orientation: 24-32 hours
Position Highlights As a Med-Surg Telemetry RN, youll be immersed in a setting that fosters growth and continuous learning. Youll work closely with patients requiring neuro and stroke care and have the chance to refine your clinical judgment through hands-on experience. Floating to similar units as needed will further broaden your exposure, enhancing your versatility and adaptability.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience in stroke/neuro nursing required
- 3 years experience preferred
- Active RN license
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required (must be current and submitted at time of application)
- Passing EKG test required
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Flexibility to float to like units
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to Med-Surg/Neuro Telemetry patients
- Conduct detailed and accurate assessments, prioritizing patient safety
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic care
- Respond promptly to health status changes, especially with neuro/stroke patients
- Participate in ongoing education and swift orientation processes
- Adapt to fluctuating workloads, floating as necessary
