Job Description

A specialized role is available for experienced Registered Nurses with a background in GI Lab and Endoscopy procedures. This position offers a focused opportunity to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment performing colonoscopies and endoscopies. Candidates skilled in EUS and ERCP are valued but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform and assist with GI lab procedures, including colonoscopies and endoscopies
  • Manage patient care throughout the procedure in compliance with safety standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide exceptional care
  • Maintain documentation and Epic system charting with accuracy and timeliness
  • Float to nearby locations as needed, including Highland Park, Skokie, and Glenbrook

Qualifications & Experience

  • Active Illinois RN license required
  • Minimum 2 years experience in GI Lab/Endoscopy, with strong proficiency in colonoscopies and endoscopies
  • ACLS and CPR certification mandatory upon application
  • Epic system experience essential
  • Ability to pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher
  • Flexibility to float among area facilities

Schedule

  • 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
  • Start times between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM
  • No weekend or holiday shifts required

This is a contract opportunity with a dynamic healthcare setting supporting 30-60 cases per day. Submit an updated resume, recent supervisor reference, active IL license, skills checklist, and EKG test results to be considered.
