A skilled Registered Nurse with a focus on GI Lab and Endoscopy is sought for a contract position based in Evanston, IL. This role involves working in a dynamic outpatient environment handling 30 to 60 cases daily, primarily involving endoscopies and colonoscopies. Candidates with experience in advanced procedures such as EUS and ERCP are highly valued but not required. This contract requires the ability to pass an EKG test with at least 80% accuracy and current ACLS certification.

Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing care in a GI Lab/Endoscopy setting.
• Support gastroenterologists during endoscopic procedures including colonoscopies.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
• Potentially float to other nearby locations as needed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Illinois RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in GI Lab or Endoscopy nursing.
• Current ACLS and CPR certifications.
• Ability to pass EKG testing with required score.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system.
• Flexibility to float to facilities in the greater Evanston area.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts
• 40 hours per week
• Start times between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM
• No weekends or holidays required
• Typically no more than 7 days off during the contract duration
