A Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical and Coronary Care experience is needed for a rewarding contract opportunity in Evans Mills, NY. This role offers a chance to apply your clinical expertise in a dynamic hospital setting, working 12-hour night shifts that include weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care with a strong emphasis on assessment and individualized treatment plans.
• Float between Medical/Surgical and Progressive Care Units as needed.
• Ensure patient safety by effectively using lifts and safe patient handling techniques.
• Apply nursing principles to address clinical, educational, and emotional needs of patients.
• Demonstrate leadership by prioritizing tasks, delegating effectively, and potentially serving as charge nurse.
• Maintain excellent communication with healthcare teams, patients, and families in fast-paced and sometimes stressful environments.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, valid New York State RN license is mandatory.
• Minimum of one successful traveler RN assignment required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Previous hospital RN experience, preferably in Coronary Care and Medical-Surgical settings.
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within three months of hire.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex patient care situations.
• Ability to work well under stress with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
