This role places you in a dynamic 45-bed med-surg unit, including 28 telemetry beds, within a state-of-the-art medical environment renowned for supporting clinicians with innovations like comprehensive hospital-wide virtual nurse assistance. Gain invaluable insights from working with diverse leadership and care teams, and broaden your skills in patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care. This assignment is ideal for expanding your resume and networking with healthcare professionals from varied backgrounds.
Schedule/Hours:
- Rotating weekends (every other weekend)
- Every other holiday
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in good standing
- Previous experience in med-surg and/or telemetry preferred
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Ability to work with a patient ratio of 1:4-1:6
- Flexibility to adapt to new procedures and digital health technologies
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
- Accurately assess, document, and communicate patient progress
- Collaborate with onsite staff and utilize virtual nurse resources for optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on care plans and post-acute needs
- Uphold high standards of safety and infection control practices
