A healthcare opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical experience at a respected hospital in the Kansas region. This contract role requires a dedicated nursing professional to provide expert patient care in a dynamic med-surg environment.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients based on established protocols.
- Administer intravenous therapies including Heparin, Insulin, Amiodarone, and Cardizem as necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
- Float within the scope of practice to the Emergency Department when required.
- Participate in weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations as outlined by the assignment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Kansas Registered Nurse license or valid Compact license.
- Minimum of 1 year hospital experience in a medical-surgical setting.
- Proficiency in managing IV infusions such as Heparin and Insulin preferred.
- Certification in AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Reliable attendance and the ability to meet scheduling demands including rotating weekends and holidays.
Schedule:
- Day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15.
- Two weekends per month required.
- One on-call shift per month.
- Holiday rotation mandatory.

Additional Information: This is a contract position requiring a nicotine-free status and adherence to a 60-mile radius rule excluding local candidates. Orientation will be conducted virtually on a Monday prior to starting. A minimum of two hours notice is required for cancellations with a limit of two cancellations per month.
