A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with a strong background in GI Lab and Endoscopy procedures. Location: This position is based in Elgin, IL, with potential floating assignments to nearby medical centers in Evanston, Highland Park, Skokie, and Glenbrook. This accessible suburban area offers a blend of vibrant community life, cultural activities, and convenient commuter routes to larger metropolitan hubs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in GI Lab and Endoscopy procedures, including colonoscopies and endoscopies, across a caseload of approximately 30-60 patients per day.
- Support and prepare patients for procedures while maintaining high standards of safety and care.
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient-focused service.
- Be flexible to float within assigned locations as needed.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current active Illinois RN license.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in GI Lab/Endoscopy, particularly with colonoscopies and endoscopies.
- ACLS and CPR certifications required at time of submission.
- Ability to pass an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher.
- Experience with Epic electronic health records system is highly preferred.
- Exposure to EUS and ERCP procedures is a plus but not mandatory.
Schedule:
- 8-hour day shifts
- 40 hours per week
- Start times between 7 AM and 8 AM
- No weekend or holiday shifts required
