Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care within a Medical-Surgical unit. This contract role in a reputable healthcare setting offers the chance to support patients with diverse health needs and contribute to a collaborative team environment. Qualifications & Skills:
- Active and unencumbered RN license
- Minimum of one year recent experience in a Medical-Surgical (MS) unit
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care, including assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans
- Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and patient progress
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and support staff
- Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed
- Educate patients and their families regarding conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care
- Maintain detailed and timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Uphold the highest standards of safety and patient confidentiality
