A skilled and dedicated registered nurse is needed to provide exceptional care within a medical-surgical unit. This contract role calls for a compassionate RN who is adept at managing complex patient cases, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and handling a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid and unencumbered RN license
- Recent experience in a medical-surgical (MS) setting
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently in a busy unit
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population in the MS unit
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and update care plans as needed
- Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge care
- Adhere to safety standards, infection control protocols, and facility policies
