A healthcare opportunity is available for a registered nurse with orthopedic and surgical unit experience in a dynamic 20-bed orthopedic surgical unit located in Denver, CO. This contract position offers an engaging environment on the 9th floor of a main hospital, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5, balancing quality patient care and manageable workloads.
Location:
Based in Denver, Colorado, this position provides the chance to work in a well-equipped hospital setting known for its commitment to patient-centered care. Shift:
- 7:00 PM 7:00 AM (Night Shift)
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage care for up to five patients
- Perform surgical unit duties including dressing changes and aspirations
- Apply pain management techniques appropriate for orthopedic patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver excellent patient outcomes
- Adhere to unit policies and uphold consistent patient care standards
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RN license with experience in orthopedic and surgical nursing
- Ability to independently care for five patients in a fast-paced environment
- Preferred experience in pain management and orthopedic care
- Positive attitude, strong team orientation, and effective communication skills
