This medical-surgical/telemetry nursing opportunity provides exposure to a diverse patient population and a spectrum of clinical challenges, including advanced primary stroke care. Schedule/Hours:

  • Travel position; shifts and hours will be determined per facility needs and discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

  • Active RN license (NC or compact).
  • Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience.
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
  • Proven expertise in stroke assessments, cardiac rhythm interpretation, medication titrations (including cardiac drips, heparin), and blood product administration.
  • Skilled with general Med/Tele procedures (PIV starts, chest tube management, trach care, drains/tube management).
  • Willingness to float within regional partner facilities as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to diverse adult inpatient populations.
  • Manage and assess complex medical and telemetry patients, including stroke and cardiac cases.
  • Collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams and provide exemplary patient advocacy.
  • Document thoroughly using Epic EMR.
  • Flexibly support unit operations and adapt to varying patient ratios based on acuity.
