Deliver essential bedside care in a busy Med/Surg unit focused on renal patient needs, serving adults to geriatrics. This contract opportunity is ideal for an RN with at least two years of recent experience, eager to make an impact in a collaborative healthcare environment. You will manage a diverse caseload, including patients requiring HD catheter management, manual PD/PD cycler use, tele monitoring, and care for conditions such as sepsis, ETOH (CIWA), UTI, CKD, or hypertensive emergencies.

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shift: 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00)
• Every other weekend required
• Expect to work assigned major holidays based on contract duration
• Floating to other units as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience; open to first-time travelers
• Active RN license and BLS certification
• Proficiency in Med/Surg nursing with a renal care focus
• Experience managing HD catheters, performing manual peritoneal dialysis (PD) and cycler operations
• Comfortable working with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems
• Strong skills in tele monitoring, and care for sepsis, ETOH withdrawal, CKD, HTN emergencies, and UTIs
• Ability to manage a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care and monitor patient status
• Administer medications and treatments per protocols
• Respond quickly to changes in condition and escalate as needed
• Document accurately in Epic and communicate with the multidisciplinary team
• Float to other units as assigned

Additional Information:

• Scrub color: Navy, white, or combinations
• Compliance with facility requirements is critical for timely start
• Orientation schedule and hours are dependent on contract length
