This med-surg float opportunity provides dynamic exposure to various hospital units, enhancing your clinical skills and experience. Schedule/Hours:
- 12-hour day/night variable shifts (flexibility required)
- Every weekend and holiday rotation
- 13-week assignment
- Guaranteed 3648 hours/week (OT after 48)
Role Highlights:
- Float between observation, cardiac, medical, surgical, ortho/neuro, inpatient rehab, and transitional care units
- Work in ratios of 1:4 (day), 1:41:5 (PM), and 1:61:7 (night)
- No on-call/call back requirements
- Charting with Epic (must have recent experience)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams
- Engage with leadership that values resilience, adaptability, and teamwork
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active RN license or Compact State RN License
- BLS (American Heart Association) required
- NIHSS preferred for submission; must complete certification by end of orientation (provided at no charge)
- Minimum 12+ years recent med/surg experience
- Proficiency with venipuncture and Cardizem administration
- Epic charting experience within the past two years
- Strong time management, adaptability, and interpersonal skills
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
- Ability to start compliance process promptly upon offer
