Job Description

A Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical expertise is sought for a contract position in Crivitz, WI, supporting a Level III Trauma Center. This role offers an opportunity to work on a telemetry-capable medical/surgical unit providing comprehensive patient care.

Crivitz, located in Wisconsin, offers a tranquil setting with access to natural surroundings while being within reach of regional healthcare facilities. Nearby Marinette features a well-equipped hospital with 104 beds and specialized trauma care, fostering a collaborative clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including telemetry monitoring
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including hospitalists, respiratory therapists, and phlebotomists
  • Utilize EPIC for documentation and Alaris and Pyxis systems for medication and supply management
  • Adhere to established protocols for patient safety and infection control
  • Participate in orientation and unit training to ensure smooth integration and patient flow
  • Support charge nurse and LPN team members in achieving optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active RN license with at least 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
  • Telemetry competency required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
  • Experience with EPIC charting and familiarity with monitoring equipment a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced trauma center environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills

Schedule/Hours:

  • Day shifts with RN-to-patient ratios approximately 1:4-5
  • Night shifts with RN-to-patient ratios approximately 1:5-6
