An opportunity for an experienced RN with MS/Telemetry expertise is available in Cordova, SC. This contract role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care in a Level III Trauma Acute Care Hospital with 286 staffed beds. The position requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the flexibility to float within similar units or sister facilities as patient needs arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care on an MS/Telemetry unit during night shifts (7p-7:30a), working 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.
- Manage patient assignments with a ratio of 1:5-6, ensuring high-quality monitoring and timely interventions.
- Utilize Telemetry competencies to assess and respond to cardiac and other monitored data.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Possibly support charge nurse duties, drawing on preferred prior charge experience.
- Float between units as needed, demonstrating adaptability.
- Maintain accurate and timely charting using Epic electronic health records.
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety procedures, and emergency response protocols, including hurricane season preparedness.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current SC nursing license or Compact nursing license valid prior to start.
- Two or more years of clinical experience, with community hospital and telemetry background preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.
- Telemetry competency required; charge nurse experience is a plus.
- Ability to work every other weekend; no on-call required.

This contract position includes weekends and floating within a 60-mile radius. Approval requests for block schedules can be accommodated but are not guaranteed. Locals may be considered at a reduced rate.
