Experienced registered nurses are needed for a contract role providing care in a medical-surgical environment. This opportunity is ideal for professionals who excel in dynamic settings and are seeking a critical role supporting patient outcomes.
Schedule/Hours:
- Night shifts: 7:00 p.m.7:30 a.m.
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend and holiday rotation
Key Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- BLS certification (American Red Cross or American Heart Association accepted)
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience in medical-surgical and telemetry settings
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Proficiency with Meditech electronic health records
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and monitor telemetry
- Must have 2024/2025 flu vaccine completed prior to start
- Willingness to float to similar units as needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct nursing care to patients in a Med-Surg/Telemetry environment
- Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document appropriately
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed
- Utilize telemetry monitoring for cardiac patients and promptly report changes
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on care and post-discharge instructions
- Ensure compliance with infection control and hospital safety protocols
- Complete and pass a telemetry proficiency test during orientation
- Adapt to floating and support colleagues in similar units as required
