Working in a 45-bed Med-Surg unit, including 28 telemetry beds, you'll be exposed to a variety of health conditions and a collaborative approach to care. Experience diverse workplace practices and gain insight into different leadership styles while expanding your clinical skills and broadening your experience on your rsum. You'll have the chance to work with Virtual Nurse assistance hospital-wide, allowing you to refine your tech-enabled care skills within a progressive environment.
Schedule/Hours:
- Rotating weekends (EOW: Every Other Weekend)
- Rotating holidays (EOH: Every Other Holiday)
Qualifications:
- Active RN license, in good standing
- Recent experience in Medical-Surgical nursing
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring
- Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Adaptability to new environments and patient populations
Responsibilities:
- Care for patients in a busy Med-Surg unit, patient ratios ranging 1:4-1:6
- Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and progress
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and utilize Virtual Nurse support
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Educate patients and families regarding ongoing care needs
