In this rewarding role, you will work on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit providing specialized care to stroke and neuro patients. The exposure to innovative workplace practices, multidisciplinary teams, and a variety of patient needs will help you build a robust, adaptable resume and broaden your clinical perspective. Schedule/Hours:
- Day Shift, 12 hours
- Rotating weekends (every other weekend)
- Orientation: 24-32 hours (16 hours non-billable)
Desired Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years recent Stroke/Neuro experience (3 years preferred)
- Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to pass EKG test (required at submission)
- Must float as needed to like units
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver attentive, evidence-based care to MS/Telemetry patients, particularly those with neuro needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Adapt quickly to changing assignments and float requirements
- Document patient progress accurately and efficiently
- Support patients and families during critical phases of care
