Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 1 year recent experience in a Medical-Surgical (MS) setting
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records and standard MS nursing practices
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary teams, and patients
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent) required

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for adult patients on the MS unit
  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform evidence-based interventions according to physician orders and protocols
  • Educate patients and families on treatments, medications, and discharge planning
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in accordance with policy and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and initiate appropriate interventions
