Contribute your nursing expertise to a dedicated inpatient medical-surgical unit with a contract role in a well-established hospital setting. This opportunity is perfect for an experienced RN seeking to deliver high-quality patient care within a supportive and dynamic team environment on a night shift schedule.
Schedule:
- Night shifts: 7:00 PM 7:30 AM
- 36 or 48 hours weekly; indicate your preference
- Every other weekend required
- 13-week assignment
- Orientation occurs on the day shift; full availability required the first week
Qualifications:
- Current RN license, eligible for or issued in Missouri
- Minimum one year of recent inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience
- BLS certification (AHA only) required
- ACLS (AHA) preferred
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist patients throughout your shift
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions for diverse med-surg populations
- Monitor vital signs and respond appropriately to changing patient conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient comfort and safety
- Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment and recovery
- Maintain patient confidentiality and advocate for patient rights
- Participate in quality improvement and uphold professional standards consistent with the hospitals mission and values
Additional Information:
- All staff must comply with flu vaccination requirements (or have approved Mercy exemptions) from November 1 April 1
- Black scrubs required; professional dress standards enforced
- No call requirements
