Provide skilled inpatient care on a night shift in a dynamic medical-surgical unit located in Chesterfield, MO. This 13-week contract role offers a significant opportunity to contribute to patient-centered care within a well-respected healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to Med-Surg patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to enhance patient comfort and outcomes
• Utilize the nursing process in compliance with Missouri Nurse Practice Act and organizational standards
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality
• Support with patient transfers and float to other units as staffing demands require
• Participate in orientation week on day shifts prior to night shift assignment

Qualifications:

• Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year Med-Surg inpatient nursing experience
• BLS certification from AHA (required); ACLS certification preferred
• Ability to work nights, 1900-0730, including every other weekend
• Comfortable handling physical aspects of nursing (e.g., lifting, bending)
• Strong teamwork skills and adaptability to diverse patient needs

Assignment Details:

• Location: Medical-Surgical East Unit, 15-bed capacity with expansion underway
• Shift: Night, 36 or 48 weekly guaranteed hours (please specify on application)
• Equipment: Familiar with Nova glucose meters, Alaris IV pumps, Kangaroo pumps, and SCD machines
• EMR platform: EPIC
• Dress Code: Black scrubs; closed-toed shoes mandatory
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Nov 1-April 1)
