Providing compassionate, patient-centered care in a dynamic hospital setting, this position offers a rewarding opportunity for skilled RNs with Med-Surg experience. As a Registered Nurse focused on Med-Surg, you will deliver direct patient care across all age groups, ensuring the nursing process is followed meticulouslyfrom assessment and planning through evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver nursing care consistent with the Missouri Nurse Practice Act and facility standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care activities and enhance comfort.
- Uphold patient rights and confidentiality.
- Adapt to unit-specific physical demands including lifting, standing, and bending.
- Support trauma, surgical, and medical-comorbidity patients with professional accountability.
- Float as needed to similar or lower acuity units.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Registered Nurse license eligible or active in Missouri.
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient Med-Surg nursing experience required.
- Preferred: 1 year Neuro nursing experience.
- Certifications: Required BLS (American Heart Association); Preferred ACLS (AHA).
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system preferred.
Schedule & Details:
- Location: 8 East Neuro Unit in Chesterfield, MO.
- Shift: Nights (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) with weekend rotation every other weekend.
- Weekly hours: Flexible, 36 or 48 hours (to be specified at submission).
- 13-week contract assignment.
- Strict flu vaccination policy (Nov-April) with approved exemptions only.
- Orientation during day shift week prior to night shift start.
