Schedule

  • Shifts: 6:45am7:15pm or 6:45pm7:15am
  • Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks
  • Weekend rotation: every other weekend
  • Possible low census call (may be called back until 3am for nights, 3pm for days)
  • Expect to work 75% of holidays

Role Highlights

  • Provide care for patients with varied diagnoses (cardiac, respiratory, neuro, and more) in a 24-bed MedSurg/Telemetry unit.
  • Patient ratios typically 1:5-6, may surge to 1:7-8.
  • Required to float within the region as needed (travel time between facilities is paid), expanding your experience with different teams and approaches.
  • Utilize technologies such as EPIC (minimum 6 months experience required), Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Massimo monitors.
  • Work closely with CNAs, phlebotomy, IV/VAT teams, and 24/7 Respiratory Therapy and Intensivist support.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license with 18+ months recent Med/Tele RN experience
  • Minimum 6 months proficiency with EPIC EMR
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
  • Strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, non-titrating cardiac drips, IV starts, wound care, and blood product administration
  • Flexibility to float between facilities within the region
  • Open to first-time travelers eager to grow professionally
