This assignment in a 24-bed MedSurg/Tele unit exposes you to a variety of cases, from cardiac and respiratory to neurological patients, offering the perfect setting to hone your medical-surgical and telemetry skills. You'll have the chance to work alongside seasoned professionals, adapt to diverse workplace routines, and experience different leadership approaches, greatly expanding your clinical skillset and professional network.

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shift: 06451915
• Night shift: 18450715
• Every other weekend rotation
• Schedule cycles every 6 weeks

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• At least 18 months of recent Med/Tele RN experience
• Comfortable with basic Med/Tele competencies (cardiac rhythm interpretation, non-titrating cardiac drips, IV initiation, wound care, blood products)
• Minimum 6 months EPIC EMR experience
• Open to first-time travelers
• Willingness to float to other facilities within the region as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care to a broad spectrum of diagnoses, including cardiac and neuro
• Manage a typical patient ratio of 1:5-6 (may surge)
• Practice skilled care including tubes/drains management, wound dressing changes, IV therapy, cardiac monitoring, and medication administration
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff including CNAs, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapy, and hospitalists
• Utilize state-of-the-art equipment: Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell dispensing, Massimo monitoring, and EPIC EMR
