Schedule/Hours:
- Shift times: 06:4519:15 and 18:4507:15
- Every other weekend required
- 6-week scheduling cycles
- Holiday participation: 75% of facility holidays
- Possible low census call, with variable call-back times
- Floating within regional facilities as needed; paid for all travel time should you float mid-shift
Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centered care on a fast-paced 24-bed MedSurg/Tele unit with an average daily census of 24
- Care for a full spectrum of adult diagnoses, including cardiac, respiratory, and neuro cases
- Maintain a safe nurse-to-patient ratio (typically 1:56; up to 1:78 in surge situations)
- Utilize EPIC EMR (minimum 6 months experience required), Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Massimo monitors
- Collaborate within an interdisciplinary team supported by CNAs, charge nurses, IV/VAT team, RT, hospitalists, intensivists, and tele techs
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, perform wound care, administer blood products, start IVs, and interpret cardiac rhythms
Qualifications:
- Current RN license with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- At least 18 months of MedSurg/Tele RN experience
- Strong skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, non-titrating cardiac drips, and general medical/surgical competencies
- Experience with EPIC EMR (minimum 6 months required)
- Flexibility to float throughout designated regional facilities
