Schedule/Hours:

  • Variable scheduling required; flexibility essential
  • Floating within the local region as per unit needs (travel between facilities during shift is compensated)

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license with at least 18 months of Med/Tele experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and non-titrating cardiac drips
  • Experience with Epic EMR (minimum 6 months) and standard bedside devices (Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Massimo monitors)
  • Willingness to float across multiple facilities within scope of practice
  • Strong clinical fundamentals: wound care, tube/drain management, IV skills, and administration of blood products

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive medical-surgical and telemetry care to patients with varied diagnoses (cardiac, neuro, respiratory, and more)
  • Manage nurse-to-patient ratios averaging 1:5-6 (with possible surge ratios)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (CNA, phlebotomy, RT, intensivists, and hospitalists)
  • Support clinical colleagues and contribute positively to a culture described by staff as awesome
