Schedule/Hours:

  • Shifts: 7a-7p or 7p-7a
  • Rotating weekends (every other)
  • Holiday coverage: Expect to work 75% of holidays
  • 6-week scheduling cycles

Role Overview: This med-surg/telemetry position centers on supporting the Adult Decision Treatment Unit (ADTU) and various satellite units, focusing on decompressing the emergency department and specialized areas. Work alongside supportive resource nurses, CNAs, and medical leaders, equipped with Epic, Alaris, Phillips, and Omnicell systems. A culture of teamwork ensures seamless care for adult/geriatric patients with conditions ranging from COPD and CHF to trauma and GI bleeds.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Tele RN experience (resource team experience a plus)
  • BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Proven skills in cardiac rhythm interpretation, medication titration (drips, infusions), trach care, PIV/IV management, chest tube/drain management, and telemetry monitoring
  • Proficient in Epic EMR and related technology
  • Stroke care experience strongly preferred
  • Flexibility to float within designated regions and adapt to variable patient ratios
