Job Description

Deliver expert nursing care on a medical-surgical/telemetry unit in a vibrant Charlotte, NC healthcare setting. This travel opportunity is ideal for RNs with MedSurg experience ready to support patients with conditions such as stroke, seizure, AMS, AKI/CKD, cellulitis, and non-healing wounds.

Role Highlights:

  • Patient Ratios: RN 1:5-6 (may increase during surge), LPN 1:5-6, CNA 1:8-11
  • Unit Beds: 32 with an average census of 32
  • Required Experience: Minimum 18 months in MedSurg/Telemetry nursing; first-time travelers accepted
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS mandatory for RNs
  • Skills: Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and managing non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem, Amiodarone)
  • Technology: EMR system EPIC, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicello med dispensing, Philips monitors, Rover communication

Responsibilities include comprehensive bedside care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including CNA, phlebotomy, IV/VAT, pharmacists, case managers, nurse educators, and respiratory therapists. The unit supports professional growth within a family-oriented culture and emphasizes teamwork via floating opportunities across several regional facilities. Floating is compensated during travel time.

Charlotte, NC is a dynamic city blending southern charm with urban sophistication. Known for its growing economy, cultural attractions, and outdoor activities, it offers a high quality of life and diverse amenities for professionals relocating or traveling in the region.

This position requires the ability to travel and float within the region and comes with a structured orientation (2 days departmental plus NEO). Professional attire includes navy blue scrubs for RNs. Parking is provided free of charge.
