Deliver comprehensive nursing care on a dynamic medical-surgical/telemetry unit in Charlotte, NC, perfect for RNs with 18+ months of Med/Tele experience ready to take their skills to a travel assignment. This role offers a chance to work in a supportive, family-oriented unit where clinical skills are valued and resources are in place to assist with patient care.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage diverse patient populations including stroke, seizure, acute and chronic kidney injuries, cellulitis, falls, and complex wounds.
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage non-titrating cardiac drips such as Cardizem and Amiodarone.
- Collaborate with an experienced interdisciplinary team including pharmacists, respiratory therapists, nurse educators, and case managers.
- Utilize EPIC EMR, Philips monitors, and Omnicello medication dispensing systems to provide top-quality care.
- Participate in regional floating within the hospital system to support varying unit demands.
- Maintain thorough documentation and communication during shift transitions without remote telemonitoring support.
Qualifications:
- Valid RN license with current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
- Minimum 18 months medical-surgical and telemetry nursing experience.
- Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and managing cardiac drips.
- Willingness to float within the regional hospital network as needed.
- First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
Schedule & Location:
- Based in Charlotte, NC, with unit operating 32 licensed beds and a consistent census.
- Patient ratios vary from 1:5 to 1:8 depending on staffing needs.
- Travel assignment requiring candidates to reside at least 50 miles away from Charlotte.
