On this 28-bed unit, youll care for a diverse surgical and medical population, including patients with conditions spanning general, vascular, and bariatric surgery, as well as trauma and stroke. The work environment is fast-paced yet supportive, fostering ongoing learning and development for nurses at every stage in their career.
Schedule/Hours:
- Travel assignment
- Must adhere to a strict attendance policy: 3 absences or late arrivals (over 20 minutes) may result in immediate termination (exceptions for documented illness or hospitalization).
Key Qualifications:
- Active RN license; experience in Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and care planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management abilities
- Adaptability to a diverse patient population and fast-paced environment
- Commitment to professional development and a collaborative work culture
Core Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in developing individualized care plans for each patient, addressing physiological, psychosocial, and spiritual needs
- Utilize evidence-based practices and clinical pathways to ensure safe, high-quality care
- Act as a resource and professional role model within the team
- Engage in effective interdisciplinary communication (SBAR and other tools)
- Manage time efficiently to maximize team productivity
- Participate in shared governance and ongoing team initiatives
